The hungry mouse
A mouse was having a very bad time. She could find no food
at all. She looked here and there, but there was no food, and she grew very
thin.

Then she began to eat the corn. Being very hungry, she ate a
great deal, and went on eating and eating. She had grown very fat before she
felt that she had had enough.
When the mouse tried to climb out of the basket, she could
not. She was too fat to pass through the hole.
" How shall I climb out?" said the mouse.
"oh, how shall I climb out?"
Just then a rat came along, and he heard the mouse.
"Mouse," said the rat, "if you want to climb
out of the basket, you must wait till you have grown as thin as you were when
you went in."
Chiloé

In part because of its physical isolation from the rest of Chile, Chiloé has a very special architecture and local culture. During the colonization of Patagonia and southern Chile in the 19th century cultural elements of Chiloé spread to that zones as many chilotes migrated and settled there.
Chiloé have a rich folklore with many mythological animals and spirits. Chilota mythology is based on a mixture of indigenous religions that live in the Archipelago of Chiloé.
Chilotan architecture is a unique architectural style that is mainly restricted to Chiloe Island and nearby areas. In part because of its physical isolation from the rest of Chile, and access to different materials, Chiloé has a very special architecture that differs most greatly from the typical Spanish colonial architecture.
A Long Detour
The hitchhiker Andy picked up on that July afternoon was one
of the stranger people he had met. She had, after warm thanks for stopping, and
a moment or two of silence, proclaimed herself to be able to grant a wish. The
conjuration she had performed in support of this was quite remarkable- once the
sound of the cymbal had stopped ringing in Andy’s head, he was quite impressed.
Now Andy, good Christian that he was, was always of the
opinion that you should do a good deed for its own sake, and not for material
reward. He lightly waved away the images of wealth or power that the girl
suggested. “My one wish, young lady, is to get you to where you’re headed!”.
The girl’s face contorted with fear as darkness fell
outside.

Why do we need to Learn English?
The answer should be easy. English is a universal language (global language in case we are not the only creature who can speak.) The world has changed. We can no longer live alone in our country anymore. If you want to learn the world you need to learn english....
With IT, we can open ourselves to the world and the only way we can connect to the world is to the unviersal language.
- If you are a business man you would have to learn english to expand your business.
- If you are a students you would have to learn english for your own bright future or, at least, pass the exam.
- If you are an employee you would have to learn english for the benefit of your career.
Even if you are just a street walker you still want to learn english to understand what's going on in the world....
No matter who you are. Learn English is very important. You can't avoid it and do not avoid it before you getting too far behind.
The spirit of the Headless Horseman
When I was a teenager, several older girls from my school went to an old, deserted plantation house to hold a séance. They sat in a circle on the floor, placed a candle in the center and began trying to reach spirits of the dead. For whatever reason, they called upon the spirit of the Headless Horseman. As they held hands and murmured encouragement for the spirit to contact them, a sudden gusty draft blew through the enormous old room and the candle was extinguished. One of the girls began screaming and screaming in agony. In terror, the other girls grabbed her and they all ran out of the house. The screaming girl kept sobbing and sobbing, "My back! My back!". The other girls pulled her shirt up to see why she was in such agony and discovered a lash upon her back, as though someone with a horse whip had dealt her a cruel, warning blow. None of the girls believed that the Horseman ever actually existed, they were just playing around and trying to scare one another. But undeniably, something quite terrifying did actually exist and reached out from beyond to either inflict harm or a warning to a group of young girls dabbling in a realm they were obviously neither safe nor welcome in.
